啊哈！發脾氣

The space rescue storyline got my 4-year-old talking about feeling overwhelmed without realizing it was a lesson. We play the iCalm guardians part almost every night before bed now. Beats another screen.

My 5-year-old actually asks to play the iCalm guardian game when she's winding down, which surprised me since she usually fights anything that looks educational. The rescue squad storyline keeps her engaged long enough to talk about what the alien is feeling instead of just shutting down.

We've turned the rescue missions into our after-dinner routine, and my daughter now tells me when she's feeling "like the overwhelmed alien" instead of melting down. The iCalm guardian characters give her something concrete to focus on when big feelings hit.
